Morgan Busse grew up playing soccer, riding horses, and exploring the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota with her 3 siblings. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Washington in 2011 and worked as an inpatient OB nurse for 8 years at a busy urban hospital in Seattle, Washington. Her love for nursing and the desire to create life-long partnerships with patients and families led her back to the University of Washington where she graduated with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing as a family nurse practitioner in 2020. While studying, Morgan collaborated with faculty on various research studies which took her and her family across Washington, and into the Amazon Rainforest. She completed the NP residency program at Seamar Community Health Center, where she rotated through a variety of specialties including cardiology, women’s health, pediatrics, OB, behavioral health, nephrology, urgent care, and orthopedics. Morgan and her family moved to Colorado in 2021 to give them the wonderful opportunity to be closer to family and experience the beautiful Colorado Rockies!
Family Health best fits Morgan’s personality as she loves working with all ages, and implementing the growing body of evidence across a variety of health topics. Her passions lie in women’s health, chronic disease prevention and management, lifestyle medicine (including weight loss assistance), gender-affirming care, substance use disorders, and orthopedics. When Morgan is not working, you can find her traveling, or playing in the Rocky Mountains with her two children, husband, and dog. She enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, camping, and playing soccer.
